DEVELOP BETTER LEADERS. BUILD STRONGER TEAMS.
Leadership development, team development, facilitation, and speaking for organizations that want people to communicate clearly, navigate challenges, and work well together.
Your people are already capable.
The question is whether they have the leadership skills, communication tools, and internal capacity to handle the complexity that comes with leading people and working together.
I partner with organizations to develop those capabilities through leadership coaching, team development, facilitated experiences, workshops, and speaking.
LEADERSHIP IS MORE THAN A SKILLSET
It requires the capacity to use those skills when it matters.
Leaders can know how to give feedback, have difficult conversations, delegate, or navigate change, and still struggle to do those things when pressure is high.
That's where internal capacity matters.
My work helps leaders strengthen their ability to stay present under pressure, regulate their responses, make clearer decisions, communicate effectively, and navigate difficult moments without losing themselves or the relationship.
This is where my work with the nervous system and behavioral change meets leadership development.
The goal isn't to make leaders perfectly calm.
It's to help them have more choice in how they respond.
Develop leaders who know how to lead people, not just manage tasks.
I work with emerging, mid-level, and senior leaders to strengthen the skills and internal capacity required to lead through complexity.
We can focus on:
Leadership presence and self-awareness
Communication and influence
Emotional intelligence and regulation
Difficult conversations and conflict
Feedback and accountability
Decision-making under pressure
Leading through change
Building trust across differences
The goal: leaders who can communicate clearly, navigate tension, make thoughtful decisions, and build stronger relationships with the people they lead.
TEAM DEVELOPMENT & FACILITATION
Help your team work better together.
Sometimes a team doesn't need another training.
It needs a space to slow down, have the conversations that have been avoided, clarify how people work together, and build a stronger foundation for collaboration.
I design and facilitate experiences that help teams strengthen the relationships underneath their work.
Sessions can focus on:
Team communication and collaboration
Trust and psychological safety
Conflict and difficult conversations
Team norms and working agreements
Leadership and team dynamics
Cross-functional collaboration
Change and transition
The goal: greater clarity, better communication, and a team with more capacity to navigate challenges together.
KEYNOTES & WORKSHOPS
Give your people something they can actually use.
My talks and workshops combine leadership, behavioral science, communication, identity, and practical tools to help people think differently about how they lead and work together.
Topics can be tailored for your organization, conference, ERG, leadership program, or team.
Signature topics include:
The Human in the Room, Leading in the Age of AI: Exploring what happens to leadership, trust, communication, and human connection as AI reshapes the way we work.
From Needed to Valued: Rethinking the patterns that keep high-capacity women over-functioning and exploring what it means to lead from greater agency and authority.
The Revolution Will Be Rested: Rethinking resilience, endurance, and sustainable leadership.
The Joy Dividend: Exploring what happens when joy becomes part of how we think about leadership and organizational life.
Leading First-Gen: Navigating identity, visibility, influence, and leadership as a Latine professional.
ABOUT MIRYAM
Leadership experience shaped by difference.
I'm a U.S. Navy veteran who has spent my career learning how people lead, communicate, and work together across differences.
During my time in the Navy, I led and worked alongside people across generations, cultures, ethnicities, genders, backgrounds, and levels of experience, often in environments where clear communication, trust, and the ability to work together weren't optional.
Since then, I've carried that experience into healthcare, higher education, nonprofit organizations, entrepreneurship, and leadership development.
Today, I bring those experiences together with my work in behavioral science, communication, nervous-system regulation, and leadership development to help organizations develop people who can lead across differences, navigate complexity, and build stronger working relationships.
I don't believe effective leadership requires everyone to think alike.
It requires people to know how to listen, communicate, navigate tension, and work toward something together.
LET'S TALK ABOUT WHAT YOUR PEOPLE NEED.
